Phylicia Jones (she, hers, y’all) (PJ) I identify as an unapologetic Black woman, catalyst for change, “learn it all”, and passionate about building leaders for the modern world that is in front of us. My pronouns are: She, Hers, Y’all Phylicia Jones (PJ) is the Sr. Director, Global People Development at PagerDuty. In her own words…”From the start of the employee experience, there is a learning journey. One that starts with learning the culture, values, and how we provide digital operations management to our customers. My team does this. Then on to building your career from each learning moment to each learning experience that spans across individual contributors, to first time managers and onto leadership and executive learning opportunities that give our people access to inclusive leadership practices, coaching, teamwork, and self development & discovery either in-person or virtually, this is what I love to build. Onto true partnership and collaboration across the Employee Experience and Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity (ID&E) teams to modernize performance management, talent planning, and team enablement with solutions and data derived from engagement, wellness, and inclusion surveys, I facilitate these conversations. Lastly, delivering value with passion and resilience to lead change and ensure people feel they belong and can have career making moments at PagerDuty. This is what I do.” Phylicia received her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley, started her career at Deloitte Consulting in the Human Capital Practice, and obtained her Masters in Industrial Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has worked in technology leading talent and people development for over 15 years. These key experiences have shaped her passion for learning and helping organizations and teams develop leaders for the modern world.
